Resorts in Bali are begin to practices low-impact hotel operation by embracing ecotourism. One of the resort is Vivalavi Resort & Spa which located on the northern area of Kerobokan, Bali. The simple reason that encourage them to “go green” because they believe that is the right way to do it.
Vivali’s eco-friendly business has three strategies, economic responsibility, environtmental responsibility and social responsibility been three pilars of sustainable growth for Vivali.
In their daily operational, vivali also applying various environmentally friendly practises, for example, using soybean ink on business cards, bamboo straws and metals liners in the rubbish bins, and also Vivali uses
organic cotton and even organic toothpaste.
The owner of Vivali Resort & spa also disagrees that going green will result in increased operational costs. Vivali itself will be expanding its resort with 30 beachfront villas that expect to be launch by summer 2010. Vivali will expect become a beachfront private villa, with all the comfort and services, when their guest will offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the glamour while in the same time their guests can experiencing a true Balinese experience.
Banyan Tree and the upcoming Outrigger Panorama Bali Resorts & Spa will be the other resort in Bali that have also embraces ecotourism.
